A movie miniature actually needs to be as large as possible to film more realistically. The main "hero" miniature spaceship in Cosmic Cat, the ANDROMEDA, is 4' long and 2' wide at 1/24th scale. It was inspired by the Buck Rogers style spaceships of the 1930s and the 1950s spaceships illustrated by Chesley Bonestell. Made from fiberglass and flown by cables from an overhead track, it has several lighting effects and radio controlled leg levelers and pod bay door. A miniature van can also be parked in it.
