I built a small diner in my basement as a way to display artifacts from downtown Lyons, although some of the fixtures came from other local towns. The lunch counter came from a Woolworths store and the phone booth from an Omaha bank. I tried to make it look like a 1950-1960s diner with mostly furnishings from that time.
