LOGLINE:The space travelers find themselves and their spaceship as part of an exhibit in an alien zoo.

Felis Catus started filming at the end of January 2019 and guest starred Katie Otten in the first of her roles at Cosmic Films. Rick Coen played the cyclops, and Tim Raygor and Corbin Wheaton played the other aliens in the band. Emilee Pease was a double for Andrea. Darlene Nelson created some of the zoo critters. The other crew were James Hedges, Rita Lane, and Jack Ryan, aka John Murphy. Felis Catus was an episode that came about from me just walking around the set and up to the painted cyclorama wall. I thought what if the character, who thought he was on a real planet, did that and bumped into the wall destroying the illusion of reality and realizing he was in an artificial environment. Astronauts finding themselves in alien zoos have been filmed many times, so I wanted to make this a parody of that theme. I had fun coming up with other caged animals and even referenced the Three Stooges. Fans of Star Trek will recognize a scene from The Menagerie. Lost in Space's Keeper episode is referenced, as well as Raiders of the Lost Ark when Will pulls the cat through the closing door as Indy did with his hat. Of course there's a parody of that famous climatic scene from Hitchcock's Psycho. The name of the Zoo's founder is Kustos 7. Kustos is the Croatian word for curator. I also used Kustos for the brand of Bachelor Chow and TV camera in the tree. Felis Catus did win 1st place at the White Lights City film festival in the science fiction/fantasy catagory. The book that Will falls asleep reading and foreshadows what is to come is People Are Alike All Over, a title of a Twilight Zone episode where a human astronunt ends up in an alien zoo. There are "Easter Egg" clues to what the next episode was to be about hidden in this episode. The are the spirit mask in the Zoo Directors office and the comic-Space Adventures with one story being The Spell Casters, where the astronunt couldn't see the entity but could sense it's presence. Also the articles on the Cosmic News Weekly magazine that in in the Cyclops's cage were: Eustace Haney tells of spooks in his junkyard. Ghost Spaceship Discovered-What Happened To Its Crew, and Mysterious Cat Stepped Out Of a Mirror.
